Meet Misty King - CEO and Founder of Silent Night Events

As a travel advisor and agency owner, Silent Night Events founder, Misty King, travels frequently. Throughout her travels she noticed a new trend that was popping up all over the world... Silent Disco. She first experienced it on a inaugural sailing of a luxury cruise ship and quickly found it was taking the Caribbean, Europe, Australia, and major US Cities by storm. In 2018, she noticed that her home town of St. Louis did not have a locally owned and operated Silent Disco Company. Immediately she knew she wanted to share her love for this new and exhilarating party concept with the Mid-West. The thought of listening to the songs she liked and being able to hold a conversation without music blaring was something she knew her city was missing!

Misty started her 1st Silent Disco company in December 2018 with a business partner. Throughout 2019, she hosted several Silent Events including school fundraisers, Christmas parties, and even silent dance parties on Caribbean beaches and onboard catamarans out at sea. She has planned events of every size from large corporate parties and fundraisers to DIY home parties, successfully bringing Silent Disco to “The Lou”.

Looking into 2020, she knew she wanted to expand her business to cover not just the St. Louis and the Metro East but all of Missouri including Columbia, Cape Girardeau, Kansas City, Springfield, and more. With this desire for expansion also came the need for change, which is how Silent Night Events was formed.

Silent Night Events provides full service Silent Disco parties with DJ’s, Lighting, Event Planning and Management as well as Silent Disco Headphone Rentals for personal and private parties. Silent Night Events has the latest equipment including our state of the art, 3 channel, wireless headphones that allow you to the choose the DJ, Genre, or Playlist you jam to best! Our LED headphones change color as you use the slide switch to find your favorite channel. This feature allows you see what your friends are listening to based on the color their headphones are illuminating. This unique experience will keep your guests grooving all night!
